Dinan Free Flow Exhaust Systems for the BMW X4 M40i

Designed for the crowd that want a dose of additional grunt in their X4 M40i, Dinan delivers an exhaust system that offers improved tone and aggression over its stock counterpart.  The first of the "pancake" style mufflers to make it to a BMW chassis, the X4 M40i created a unique engineering problem to solve and challenged the Dinan engineering team to produce additional volume and tone out of a much smaller and compressed can.  After many permutations a tweaked helmholtz design was chosen that not only reduced resonance (or drone) at low RPM but also improved exhaust flow courtesy of reduced back pressure. Additionally, and most importantly, this design afforded the closest tonal change to that synonymous with a Dinan exhaust system -- a deep and smooth sporty sound that is civilized when you want it to be and pleasantly aggressive under hard acceleration.

Now available through Isringhausen BMW, the system is built to exacting specifications to ensure perfect fit using the factory hangers. It is made from 100% 16-gauge 304 stainless steel and will resist corrosion for years to come. The design features twin 89mm (3.5") laser engraved ceramic black or polished exhaust tips for a tasteful, high-performance look.

The owner of a BMW M5 wanted more track-ready handling, so he invested in a Dinan Coil-Over Suspension System and an Anti-Roll Bar Set.

The owner of a BMW M 235i was interested in better engine performance, so he invested in a Dinan Performance Tuner Stage 1 and a Carbon Fiber Cold Air Intake.

Dinan’s Stage 1 Performance Tuner is a plug-in tuning device that sends a modified signal to the factory electronic control unit (ECU), telling it the boost pressure is below target values. This then causes the factory ECU to raise the boost pressure, resulting in increased horsepower and torque. In this instance, the customer's car gained about 38 HP (@ 5000 rpm) and 59 lb-ft of torque (@3000 rpm). 

While there are similar devices on the market, the Dinan Stage 1 Performance Tuner enhances engine performance without voiding your warranty or affecting long-term reliability of on-board diagnostic systems. Plus, it’s legal in all 50 states.

The Carbon Fiber Cold Air Intake compliments the upgraded electronics by delivering as much outside air as possible to the engine. It has lower resistance than the stock pipe and feeds into a larger-volume airbox to produce a sportier sound. This optimized design yields an additional 10HP and 15 lb-ft of torque without any additional modifications.

2016 BMW M4 6MT Project

This specially developed 2016 BMW M4 Coupe is a showcase of the F82 M4 chassis and S55 engine's potential for maximum street and track use. Using only the highest quality custom and aftermarket parts, we are excited to now offer this one of a kind vehicle for sale. The engine is equipped with a DINAN Stage 3 upgrade raising output to 575 horsepower and 560 lb-ft of torque which exits through Eisenmann Catless Downpipes and GT4 Exhaust reengineered for center fit. Specially engineered bodywork from Flossman Auto Design of Germany was fitted on this M4 which emphasizes motorsport capability for the private driver. An extensive list of suspension upgrades can be seen below but are featured by a set of JRZ RS Two Coilovers with several Fall Line Motorsports parts complimented by 20" Rear and 19" Front HRE FF01 wheels. The interior sports a body color bolt in roll bar (Fall Line Motorsports) and a beautifully finished rear seat eliminator.
