Meet the First-Ever 2019 BMW M2 Competition

BMW recently took the wraps off the M2 Competition, which replaces the venerable M2 Coupe. The car’s many upgrades include:

  • More power, thanks to a TwinPower Turbo engine that makes 405 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque (That's 40 horses and 63 more pound-feet than the outgoing car.
  • Larger front and rear brake disks with 6-piston front and 4-pistion rear calipers
  • New M Sport seats with illuminated M2 logos

The first ever BMW M2 Competition completes the sprint from standstill to 60 mph, in as little as 4.0 seconds (with DCT and 4.2 seconds with the manual transmission). The top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph. The car can be combined with the M Driver’s Package to raise the top speed to 174 mph.

The carefully designed oil supply system for the engine is taken directly from motorsport, while the cooling system from the BMW M4 with Competition Package is used with some M2 specific adjustments. The BMW M2 Competition’s track-ready variants of the oil supply and cooling systems have been tested by BMW’s many years of motor racing experience.

Enlarged BMW kidney grille openings and a new front skirt with increased air flow are exterior indicators to the use of this enhanced cooling system. The kidney grilles are finished in high-gloss Shadow Line black paint as are the side gills on the front fenders. A quartet of black chrome plated tailpipes finish off the twin exhaust system. A dark M Competition Badge graces the rear end of the car.

BMW M engineers have adjusted the driving dynamics of the BMW M2 Competition to take the new model’s increased performance into account. The striking CFRP high-precision strut from the BMW M3/M4 is immediately recognizable in the engine compartment. This improves front section rigidity and increases steering precision. The electromechanical power steering, the Active M Differential and the Dynamic Steering Control (DSC) system have all been enhanced.

The BMW M2 Competition will be available in summer of 2018. With pricing to be announced closer to Market launch.

2017 M2 Coupe

Isringhausen BMW is pleased to offer this beautiful 2017 M2 coupe in Mineral Gray. The M2 Coupe builds on the successful platform of the award winning M235i while incorporating more power, more grip, and improved overall performance figures, all with a lower curb weight. Add the aggressive BMW M styling, wide fender flares, and M Designed components such as the M Compound Brakes and Active M Differential and you have a focused sports car that any BMW enthusiast will truly appreciate.

The Active M Differential variably distributes the drive torque between the two rear wheels to optimize traction and driving stability during dynamic lane changing or accelerating out of curves, when making curves at high speeds or on roads with uneven surfaces, including on snow, gravel and ice. It even provides precise handling during extreme lateral acceleration.

M compound brakes have benefited from motorsport technology, allowing them to maintain constant effectiveness and brake-fade stabilization without diminishing the braking performance, even under demanding usage. The use of various highly resilient materials results in excellent thermal stability and long-term durability.

Critics have been effusive in their praise for the 2017 M2 coupe. Mashable.com says it's "so good, it almost defies logic," while Motor Trend magazine says it "matches a more expensive M4 Coupe in performance."

2017 BMW M4 GTS

Isringhausen Imports has received what is said to be BMW’s fastest production car to date: a 2017 M4 GTS. This track-ready but street-legal car recently completed a trip around Germany’s famous Nürburgring in 7 minutes and 28 seconds – that’s nearly 30 seconds faster than a standard M4.

The car’s twin turbocharged six-cylinder engine receives an added boost of power from an innovative water injection system, taken from the BMW M4 MotoGP Safety Car. According to carscoops.com:

“What this system does is inject a fine spray of water into the intake manifold plenum chamber (where it evaporates), significantly lowering the temperature of the intake air, which in turn, reduces the final compression temperature in the combustion chamber thus allowing for an even higher boost pressure for increased power.”

The injection system raises engine output to 493 hp, a 75-hp increase over the base model, allowing for a 0-60 mph sprint in a blistering 3.6 seconds. Top speed is 189.5 mph.

BMW’s M division also equipped the M4 GTS with a three-way adjustable M coilover suspension, an adjustable carbon fiber front splitter and rear spoiler, M Sports seats with cut-outs, and an Acid Orange roll bar mounted behind the front seats.

This special edition M4 is limited to around 700 units worldwide, with around 300 units for the US market.

2016 BMW M235i Racing

Isringhausen BMW, one of only eight BMW Motorsports dealers in the country, is thrilled to announce the arrival of a 2016 M235i Racing. Considered a cost-effective entry-level racing car, the M235i Racing is propelled by the most powerful engine developed so far for a BMW M Performance automobile: a six-cylinder in-line engine with M Performance TwinPower Turbo technology. With a capacity of 2,979ccm, the racing version is capable of generating 333hp (245kW).

Motorsport-specific driving aids such as ABS, DSC and traction control ensure that the motorsport newcomers can handle the BMW M235i Racing surely and safely. The racing car is also fitted with features such as a mechanical limited-slip differential, air jacks, an FIA-certified rollcage, in-car fire system and ATL fuel cells. On top of this come components from the BMW M Performance Parts range, such as the rear and front spoilers, diffusor and carbon wing mirrors.

Climb behind the M Performance steering wheel, and you’re sure to notice the abundance of carbon fiber, with it appearing on the door cards, dash, console and elsewhere. Additional weight was by removing the factory seats and insulation. This is offset, of course, by the added roll cage and fuel cell. Still, the M235i Racing is about 270 lbs. lighter than its production counterpart.

The bottom line: the M235i Racing is undoubtedly a racecar, intended for off-road use only.
